This important committee meets each month to review the current income and expenses of this parish. They determine the Parish budget, decide how to raise income, and discuss how to control expenses. Most members have experience in financial management.

FY2026 Mid-Year Update

As is our custom at St Luke’s, we provide regular updates regarding our Parish’s financials. In the accompanying table, you will see a snapshot of our overall financial performance. In summary, while Expenses exceeded Income, the gap was significantly reduced. Expenses decreased by ~$23,000 while Income decreased by ~$12,000. When comparing this year’s results to last year's, it is important to remember that we had a much more difficult winter season this year, which increased energy costs and generally reduced attendance at weekend Masses. So, while we need to continue to strive to balance the budget, our finances have improved since last year.
Our Parish continues to invest in Evangelization programs with strong positive feedback and engagement. Our Pastoral Programs include three options for Alpha (Monday afternoon, Thursday evening, and Sunday Pub night), and other programs, including the Senior Adults Ministry, Women of St Luke’s, You’ve Got A Friend in Me (Men’s Prayer Group), the Prayer Shawl Ministry, and the Bereavement Group, remain strong (to name a few)!
Financially, our most important program remains the St Luke’s Grand Annual, and we have progress to report. Several updates that have been completed, including our new sign, Sacristy upgrades, and a video overwatch system. An architect has been selected for the roof replacement program, which Fr Diego continues to advance. The plan is to begin construction in August-September. We continue to hold $222,000 in previous Grand Annual donations towards our roof project, and when the budget and timelines are finalized, a full update will be provided. At this time, we anticipate needing to borrow money from the Diocese of Worcester including interest to complete the roof replacement.
