The seven Catholic sacraments are Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. They are visible signs of God's grace that help Christians grow in holiness and are divided into three categories:
Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist,)
Sacraments of Healing (Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick,) and
Sacraments at the Service of Communion (Holy Orders, Matrimony.)
Each sacrament is celebrated at a specific, important moment in the Christian life and serves to connect believers with Jesus Christ and each other.
