Second Grade

Traditionally, we celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist in second grade. Children should have a year of religious education classes before they begin preparing for their sacraments. In the fall, students learn about the Sacrament of Reconciliation with weekly classes and a Reconciliation Retreat. There is a Reconciliation Service for the children in late November or early December. In the new year, students begin preparing for First Eucharist as their weekly classes continue. The First Eucharist retreat is called Bread of Life Day and takes place in early April. First Communion Day is in early May. Sacramental Catch Up
