Dear St. Luke’s Families,
My name is Aileen, and I am grateful to be joining St. Luke’s as your new Youth Minister. I’m genuinely looking forward to getting to know our teens and families and hearing what matters most to you as we grow together in faith.
Your involvement and support are essential to our youth ministry, and I warmly invite you to join us for our upcoming activities and events. I’m excited about what God has in store for our community and for our young people.

Upcoming Summer Programs:
Catholic Heartwork Camp (CHWC). From June 28 through early July 4, we will travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky, to serve the community there. Not only is this a week of service, but it also provides powerful Catholic prayer experiences. Each day begins with Mass before departing to our service location, and then it culminates in prayer experiences that deepen teens' faith, making this week truly meaningful and inspiring. Teens will encounter their faith through the Rosary, Adoration, Reconciliation, and a unique prayer event called 4 Corners. The theme this year is "Blessed". CHWC works to build faith as we serve those who are marginalized or poor, in the mission that Jesus taught us.
Steubenville is a powerful, dynamic Catholic teen conference. We will attend with a group of up to 150 people from the Diocese of Worcester and head to Franciscan University in Ohio. Buses will depart early on Thursday, July 16, and return late on Sunday, July 19. The theme this year is "Worthy". This weekend, teens will join thousands of others from around the country to experience Mass and Adoration, and be empowered to grow and live their faith long after the conference ends. Attending this event can genuinely transform your teen's faith journey and deepen their connection to Christ, making it a meaningful step in their spiritual growth.

Students in Grades 5 through 8 are invited to join Youth in Action for a meaningful summer week filled with service, faith, and fun throughout our community!
Dates: August 3–7, 2026
Time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.Participants will spend the week serving others, growing in faith, and building friendships through hands-on activities and shared experience.

Activity Calendar
All students in grades 7th through 10th are invited:
Saturday, February 14th, from 5 pm to 8 pm
We’re planning a Drop-and-Dine night for families! Parents will get a night out while kids hang out watching movies, doing crafts, playing games, and more.
We’re looking for middle and high school students to have fun with the kids and help make the night awesome. If you are willing and able to join us, please let me know. Once we know how many teens we’ll have, we can open registration for families

(Appalachia Service Project)
Westborough ASP is a community-based group that serves through the national organization called Appalachia Service Project. Westborough ASP is sponsored by St. Luke The Evangelist Parish and The First United Methodist Church (FUMC). We travel to Central Appalachia each summer with from 10 to 20 crews, each consisting of 2 adults and 5 youth aged 14+ to serve this life-changing home repair ministry.
ASP Mission
The Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is an ecumenical Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair for low-income families in Central Appalachia. ASP’s goal is to make homes “warmer, safer, and drier” for struggling families in rural Central Appalachia.ASP Vision

ASP is more than just a building program. ASP helps Appalachia's (and America’s) poorest families but the families can help change your life, too. ASP also provides a unique framework that fosters transformational experiences for volunteers, families served, and staff — by building relationships with each other that break down cultural, social and economic barriers. When you change the lives of others, they have a way of changing you. The ASP philosophy of service has remained the same since its founding: ASP encourages people to act responsibly in the face of human need and injustice. By transforming faith into ASP service, volunteers respond to a basic specific need: housing. By putting aside their own needs and desires, ASP volunteers free themselves to share talent, love, and concern with the people of Appalachia and with one another. More important than construction know-how is a willingness to enter the communities and homes of Central Appalachia with sensitivity, concern, and love — accepting people right where they are and just the way they are.
